If you do not have a cartoon, one has been provided for you: Disney’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1949). Now, I might have been a bit of a bitch, but this scared the poo poo directly out of the little kid version of me, gone long these many years. Especially the last shot of the Horseman hurling the flaming pumpkin directly at the viewer’s point of view. My elementary school had a 16mm print of this film and would show it to us every Halloween. For me, it was the highlight of the season, and the main reason why I still watch this second half of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad every Halloween. Have done so for…wow, this will be twenty years now. Anyways, enjoy this the way I have, and then seek it out on Blu-ray while you still can. You know how Disney is about their home releases.
