Sit down, put your feet up, and rejoice that you’re not out in the insanity that is Black Friday. I don’t shop today. I spent years of my life in retail so I stay home to lessen the unfortunate workers’ struggles. It’s a hard day for them. Missed breaks. Short lunches. Aggressive customers. Try to stay calm if you choose to shop this weekend.
Toast yourself with Grand Cider. I’m proud of this one. Seriously, we were pleasantly surprised at how tasty and simple this cocktail is. I was inspired by a completely different drink from Martha Stewart. Once again, I use Allspice Dram in this recipe. If you didn’t make any dram, maybe try some orange bitters or cinnamon liqueur.
3 oz Apple Cider
1 oz Grand Marnier (or orange liquor)
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
1/2 oz Allspice Dram
Pour all ingredients into a double rocks glass. Serve neat. The garnish can be either an orange twist or baked apple slice.
Relax. Have a tangy cranberry and turkey sandwich for dinner. Finish off the leftover pie (and whipped cream). Sip your Grand Cider.
