Appointment Movies: Hail, Caesar!

He Says:  Though its first trailer was better, this looks like a complete hoot, and I’m more than happy to see Ralph Fiennes play another comedic role after he killed it in The Grand Budapest Hotel (though I suspect we’re seeing most of his part in this movie during this trailer).  Coen Brothers are always quality, and even if you don’t like their movies, there’s always something worth seeing about or in them. Look how gorgeous this trailer is, for instance! Qualified yes to this one.

She Says: I agree, Fiennes was thoroughly enjoyable in Grand Budapest. This movie looks fun. I can’t wait to see our modern performers portraying certain classic film archetypes. However, sometimes the Coens go darker than I am prepared for based on the trailer. Here’s hoping it’s as hilarious as it looks. Yes, absolutely on my calendar.

Hail, Caesar! opens on February 5.
